e-Scripts

Electronic prescriptions, straight from the consult

Build the medication list, choose how the script reaches the patient or pharmacy, then sign and issue it. Nothing is written out by hand.

Three steps

Choose, send, sign

The prescription screen keeps the medication list, the delivery choice and your signature on one page.

Build the list

Search, set directions and quantity, and save.

  • NAPPI search with single-exit prices
  • Results show what the practice has in stock
  • A coloured dot shows medical-aid formulary cover
  • Mark items the practice hands out instead of a pharmacy

Send it

Delivery choices adapt to the patient and the practice.

  • To the patient by email or WhatsApp
  • Dis-Chem, where a location is known
  • Courier, once the practice has one set up
  • Titanium Script: the patient gets a link to their script

Sign and issue

Every script carries what a pharmacy needs to trust it.

  • Your saved signature
  • Substitution allowed or not
  • Automatic countersign option for prescribers who need it
  • A check code that pharmacies and employers can use to verify the script
Chronic medication

Repeats without re-typing

Keep each patient’s monthly medication grouped by condition, and issue the repeat from that list.

  • Grouped by condition, with unlinked items flagged so they’re easy to fix.
  • Search conditions by name or code: “Hypertension” or “I10” gives the same result.
  • Quick links for the items your practice prescribes most.
  • Every change kept: starting, adjusting or stopping a medicine is recorded with the staff member and date.
  • Motivation letters for the medical aid, drafted by AI from the conditions, medication, vitals and results already on file, for you to edit.
Safety

Checks before the patient leaves

The record you prescribe from already knows the patient’s allergies and what’s been dispensed.

  • Allergy warnings for the medicine and related medicines, when prescribing and when dispensing.
  • Unsaved changes block issuing, so a half-edited item can’t slip onto the script.
  • Substitutions logged: switching to a similar medicine at dispensing updates the script and notes who changed it.

Questions

e-Scripts: common questions

Can a pharmacy check that a script is genuine?

Yes. Every script carries a check code that a pharmacy, or the patient’s employer, can use to confirm it was issued by your practice.

How does the script reach the patient or pharmacy?

You choose when you issue it: email or WhatsApp to the patient, Dis-Chem where a location is known, a courier your practice has set up, or Titanium Script, which sends the patient a link to their script.

Does it handle chronic repeat scripts?

Yes. Each patient’s chronic medication is kept as a list grouped by condition, and you issue the repeat prescription from that list.

Can a junior doctor’s script be countersigned?

Yes. If a prescriber’s account is set up to be countersigned by a senior prescriber, the countersign option and signature appear automatically.

Does it show medicine prices?

Yes. The NAPPI search shows the single-exit price, whether the practice has the item in stock, and whether it is on the patient’s medical-aid formulary.
